Looking back at 2007

This is my so-called tradition ... it started nung 2005. But I don't think I posted for 2006 coz I was on vacation at that time. Anyway, I'll post for 2007. (Of course with the link sa photos, hehe)

Here's a quick(ish) look at my crazy year:

January
- I came back to New York from the Philippines, I think January 3 or something. Fun fun three weeks. I wish I could do that yearly, but I can't. Anyway, it was fun. I saw my family and friends. The events I went to: Ate Kaye's birthday, Mommy's Birthday celebration, Christmas, Daddy's birthday, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day family reunion; the places I went to: Enchanted Kingdom, Baguio, Tagaytay; the people I met up with family, Kacey, relatives sa Pampanga, Cla & Cathy, college kada, cousins (w/ Gie), Marion, Lenne & Yen, Ria, Penny, Nap, Keysa, Gem, Gie & Jade, Tin & Mike, OPMC peeps, and Misha my baby… made my stay unforgettable. I had other pics pero di pwede iupload. LOL. Basta, I loved every minute of my vacation sa Pinas. (sorry sa ibang friends ko, i can't find the pics eh)
- I went back to school for pre-requisites first (for Nursing -- 2nd degree). The classes I took were Anatomy & Physiology 1 Lecture, Anatomy & Physiology 1 Lab, and Sociology. I got an A in all subjects *pat*pat*

February
- I had my first ever solo apartment! *pat*pat*. It was just temporary coz I was waiting for another place to be vacant. But I did enjoy my stay there.
- My birthday (19th) ... we just ate out. No pics eh. hehe.
- JM saga started

March
- Dumating ang brother ko (JC) and my mom. So shempre, pasyal pasyal.

April
- la mashado happening

May
- my mom went back home na
- JC and I met up with relatives from Canada who were visiting sa New York
- We also went to 6 Flags, Hershey Park & Zoo America and Indian Echo Caverns

June
- I started my summer semester. I took up Nutrition and Composition & Literature. I got a B+ and A, respectively. Leche, nasira and A streak ko.
- Umuwi si bunsong kapatid and dumating ung isang brother ko (Brian).
- the birth of chom (i think)

July
- School and work. Haaay.

August
- new apartment!
- My relatives came from Pinas. Si Lolo Teroy, Lola Citang and Tito Boy. Pasyal pasyal around the city.
- We bought turtles a china town so now, we have pets. hehe.
- Natuwa ako kay Kat de Luna, fave song ko was Run the Show at that time.
- Found out about my lolo's sakit. =(

September
- My cousin came to New York so we ate at Serendipity and had lots of chocolate. Then we also went to Tye's Birthday
- Fall semester started. I took Microbiology Lecture, Micriobiology Lab, Anatomy & Physiology 2 Lecture and Anatomy & Physiology 2 Lab. Got A in all subjects!! *pat*pat*
- Took the nursing school entrance exam
- Got acceptance letter to the nursing school I wanted to go to. Mind you, I just tried for one school coz I that's the one I want. So kung baga, do or die. haha. Pero I got in, so yey!
- I was the acting "boss lady" at that time coz ala ung boss ko. I report to the manager and director.

October
- Second time dissecting a cat (first one was in college).
- Magisa pa din ako sa department ko. Ala pa boss

November
- My boss came back end of December so it was less stressful (at first). Then haaaay, back to the old routine.

December
- I went to the Nursing Program orientation. It made everything so real. Totoo na toh, may nunursing na talaga ko.
- We did Secret Santa at work. It was fun!
- My coworkers and I had dinner at Cheesecake Factory. Mala-holiday party namin.
- My brother and I went to a Pinoy Party. It was fun! Nabinyagan ng line dancing si Brian. hehe.
- Before going to the Christmas Eve party, bonding kami ni Brian. Nagpictorial kaming 2. hahaha.
- For Christmas Eve, we went to Micay's Place. Sobrang fun coz we drank, danced and had a sleepover. LOL.
- Naginuman kami ulit kila Micay, then of course sleep over. Tas went to Palisades the following day. This is the official formation date of Knitch. It started nung Christmas Eve but sa Palisades sha naging official. Then a few days after, we made motto, logo, etc. Seryoso itoh! Here's our logo (made by Lea or Nicole, I'm not yet sure):


All in all, I like my 2007. It's good. May happy times, may sad times. May kairita times, may chillax moments. Got close to some people that I already know from before, met some new friends. I learned more about myself and about the people around me. I like learning, nerd na kung nerd pero I like to learn about anything and everything about life.

For 2008, I'll be going to nursing school along with working full time. To those who know me and how I am with grades, MIA na naman ako. You know how to reach me though, email me, call me, text me, IM me. I may not respond right away but I will ... eventually. hahaha.

I wish everybody a happy new year! May you and your family be always blessed with great things, perfect health and caring n loving friends. =)

... I should be studying right now but nooooo ... I'm having a Harry Potter marathon. I'll get the last Harry Potter DVD before school starts again. hehe.

I miss my family ... my friends ... gusto ko umuwi Pinas. It's the holiday season, tas ang layo nila. Hohum.

I miss sisig, isaw, kikiam, baked fish ni tita ruby, lengua dish ni mommy, beeksteak ni daddy, beef with corn n mushroom ni mama, sinigang ni tita lu, special bagoong ni tita les, mangang hilaw, inihaw na pusit, barbeque na sinawsaw sa suka ng sinasawan ng buong madla (haha), halohalo, taho, banana-que, siomai, tinapa tas may kalamansi at bagoong, pritong babaoy tas kamatis na may itlog na maalat .... haay. Nagugutom tuloy ako.

I miss chtnwswtsxlpschkaoleofpchom.

I miss clubbing and drinking and dancing and just relaxing and chatting with friends and just laughing and chilling and being cozy and all.

Haaay ... gone are the days of being in chillax mode.

Fun fun

AND!!! ... I saw the grades I got for this sem (Fall 2007) ... I got As in all subjects!! Yihaaa!! Although I didn't get a perfect 4.0 CGPA coz of that one non-A grade ... I do have a 3.93 CGPA ... so, yey! I'm 0.07 points off from the perfect CGPA, pero k lang. Steady lang.

Hmmmm

Well, I'm done with my Fall semester pero my studying doesn't stop. I'm doing advance reading for my Spring classes (Nursing proper na itoh!). At first I wasn't going to study this early coz I wanted to rest for like a week but my classmate suggested a group study so I went for it. It's actually good because I won't have to cram much later on, konti lang. LOL.

Nagsecret-santa kami sa work (aka kris kringle). Kakatuwa. I'll post some pix here soon but most of it will be on my multiply page.

In January, I'll still have Saturday classes ... starts at 7 am ... haaaaay. Kangarag! but it's for a good cause naman. BUT BUT BUT, I will also work Sundays ... soooo .... yeah. Oh fun. (nasesense mo ba ang excitement? *rolls eyes*) But it's okay ... it's fine.

Anyway, I'm watching this show called "Coupling" ... so far it's interesting. Pero I have to discipline myself ... no TV every night until I finish a chapter of the book. Nax ... sana magawa ko nga. haha.

Homesick

Haaaaay. It's the holiday season na naman, but here I am, half way around the world, away from my family and old friends. I was reading the Friendster comments left by my friends in the last 3-4 years ... kakatuwa. There's a trend and consistency with what they were saying. I'll summarize them and post them sometime before the year ends. LOL.

For now, I must be a good student and study for the last exam for this semester. Yey!!!

Anatomy and Physiology

The final grade for this subject will be the combination of the lecture and lab grade. I already know what I have for lab but the last lecture exam was yesterday so I won't know the results til next week. But I played around with the numbers (yeah ... I love math) to see what my grade would be if I got *whatever grade* on the 5th exam (finals). So I found out that even if I get a 57 in the finals, I would still get an overall final grade of 90 which is an A. I mean, I know I won' get a 57 in the finals coz I studied my ass off. Ok ok ok ... I didn't really study like I should have ... The Griffin family got in the way ... Stewie is hilarious! But hopefull I won't get anything below 80 coz that would really ruin the holidays for me.

So now ... I have two more exams to worry ... Microbiology lab (Monday) and Microbiology lecture (Tuesday). For this subject, I know for a fact that I'm not gonna get an A so I'll settle for the next highest ... a B+. Hopefully I get a B+. If not ... ugh ... my GPA will be dragged down =(

I love margaritas

Although I didn't go clubbing tonight, I did have fun. First went to bbq..yummy food then I had a margarita. then watched I am legend. Awesome movie, I'd watch it again. My heart skipped a few beats but it's fine coz the movie was awesome!!!!! Hehe.
