keber ko sa mundo!
i've only been in my current position for 2 weeks, i've got to say, so far so good. i've learned a lot and i'm sure i'll learn more. pero may mga lecheng tao na ineexpect na alam ko na lahat. duh. anyway, wow, yun nga, i already got people pissed at me. nakakatawa lang. haaay. pero keber ko sa kanila. la ako pakialam. bahala sila sa buhay nila. basta, i'll do my job, they should do theirs. if sablay sila, sorry na lang sila. it's their problem, not mine. (nax, kaya ko kaya na di maging conscious? hmm ... ating alamin!)
Well, you know what I've been doing so far. First 2 weekends of July was super fun! First weekend was the "city tour" and second weekend was the Bronx Zoo.
So anyway, I came in Monday then did my usual routine. Later on, I saw my boss come in but then when I looked again, she wasn't in her office. Tas I suddenly heard her voice "Hey Ninna, come to my office." So shempre, I went in. She said that she just talked to the director of the department (boss niya) and that I GOT THE JOB!! To those not-so-avid-fans of my blog (haha), I applied for a job kasi that is sorta a promotion. So yep ... I GOT PROMOTED!! Another good news about it, I can still get commission for stuff that I sold before, plus I can still sell! So, hooray again coz I can still make extra bucks! That very same day, she told me that I can start immediately with my "new job" ... being the Coordinator of the department. Kasi here's the deal, my boss handles 5 different departments and before, I was part of 1 of those 5. Now, I have to learn all the 5 (4 to go!) coz in case there's a shortage in people (if let's say madami absent or whatever), I'll be the one to fill in. But that's not the bulk of the "task" ... kung baga, it's just the "minor" responsibility.
Bulk of the responsibility is submitting a gazillion reports. Actually, the reports are pretty "easy" but what makes it take too much time is the "interruption" from everyone. People asking for whatever thing, people's kwento, etc. But don't get me wrong, those people make the work not so routinary and they take me away (for a moment) from all the numbers that I have to deal with. So, yeah, I'm loving my new job coz it makes the day go by faster coz I'm really super busy.
Then, yesterday (Wednesday), I took my road test for my license. I've been practicing my parallel parking and all the other stuff that they might make me do sa test. Wednesday morning, I was soooooooo scared. As in I woke up and can't go back to sleep anymore coz my heart was pounding talaga. Anyway, I went to the road test site w/ Tita Nimia. Tas I made a mistake at the intersection coz I was trying to be a defensive driver, mali daw ung way ko of being a defensive driver. Sa loob loob ko, "dapat pala binarubal ko ung kalsada!" haha, joke! I don't want to get into the details, so I'll just skip to the result ... I PASSED! Wooohooo! I'll get my real license within 1 week or less!
Also Wednesday, Michelle & I went out. First, we met at the mall. We looked at some clothes, and pucha, napabili na naman ako. haha. Then we went to Legal Seafoods for dinner. After that, we didn't want to go home yet, so since I got my license already (I got a temporary license til the real one comes) we went to Honda. So, we went there ... I was checking both the Civic and CR-V. I've always wanted a CR-V but the Civic is more price-friendly. haha. There was this guy who was entertaining our questions. Ok sana kaya lang ... everytime Michelle and I had our backs turned coz we were checking the interior of the car, he was looking at us head to toe, then would focus on the butt. Hayuf! Anyway, I got some brochures to look at, so hopefully I can get a car soon. After going to Honda, we stopped by at Coldstone (Yey!) then went home to watch a DVD while eating our ice cream.
Rachel & I were talking last Thursday about the zoo. Anyway, at one point of the conversation she asked me if have ever been to the Bronx Zoo, I said no. Then she said that I should get my @$$ there coz it's definitely something that I should experience at least once (a year, haha). Anyway, I told Keith about it then we went to the zoo. There was a lot of things to see. Most of the pictures are on my multiply so just check that. But I'll post some of the pictures and videos here.
This is a long overdue post. But what the heck, iupdate ko pa din toh.
Friday night, Keith & I watched Superman Returns. I thought it would be a sucky film, but I actually liked it. It was pretty good. So good that we wanted a second round but at that time, we didn't know when the 2nd time would be.
Saturday initial plan was to meet up with Michelle and her friends (Erica, Ninya & Ryan) then bring them around the city. I was waiting for Michelle's text the whole morning coz she was suppose to text me the final "meeting time". While waiting, Keith & I went to BK for breakfast then we also went to Toys R Us sa White Plains. Then, when I called Michelle, she said to meet up na lang at 12ish. So we went to her house at 12ish as planned, we met Erica (who lives in New Jersey), Ryan & Nina (who both came from California) then we left her house a little before 1 ata. We took the train ...
... then arrived at Grand Central where we took some pictures before heading out ...

After walking and walking and walking, we finally saw the Philippine Embassy. We took some pictures outside ...

After debating on where to eat, we finally decided to go to the Bubbagump sa Times Square. Then we pretended that it was Ryan's birthday so the staff would have to sing for him. Ninya asked one of the waiters to make Ryan stand on the chair, which they did.
Sunday we were just chilling at home then I got a call from Michelle na labas daw ulit ng Sunday night. Originally, Ninya & Ryan were suppose to go back to California Sunday night but they changed their flight so longer ang stay sa New York. So, we met up once again then headed to Battery Park to have a glance at the Statue of Liberty. Did some picture taking, haha.
After the park, we went somewhere in the city to watch Superman Returns (hooray!). We really wanted to watch it in an IMAX theater but there's none around so we settled for the good old fashioned theater. hehe. After buying the tickets, we ate first at this barbeque place since there's some time. Stress on "SOME" coz tagal iluto ng food so we had to realy really eat fast.
We got home like 3am ng Monday, July 3. I was still texting with Michelle til like 3:30ish then I slept after that. Unfortunately, I had work that that day at 8am. So I had to wake up at 5:30. I went to work super tired but it's ok. Coz I really really really had fun. It was super fun. So kahit super pagod, it was worth it. Good thing there was no work the following day, I slept a lot. I really "recharged" nung times na un. heehee.
