Big brother ay isa sa mga "reality TV shows" na patok na patok kahit saan mang dako ng mundo. Ang idea ... pagsamasamahin ang mga taong hindi magkakakilala (or in the case of Big Brother 8 ... magkaaway), throw in some games and the "America's Player" ... ayus. I think, sa lahat ng reality shows, ito ang favorite ko. Kasi, it really reflects real life. The so called "alliance" na finoforge ng mga "guests" sa isa't isa ay in reality, parang mga cliques or groups of friends. Your friends or your group aka your alliance are the people you trust to watch your back ... people you think will save your ass in the event na malagay ka sa peligro (aka the chopping block). In the show, the guests choose who they will build an alliance with ... in the same way, na sa totoong buhay, we choose who we become friends with. In the show, there is hidden drama, ulterior motives, jealousy (both sa realm ng pagibig at pagkakaibigan), plotting, and of course, romance. Pag maganda ka or matalino ka or nice person ka or basically, if there's something good about you, there will always be someone who wants to take you down kasi they can't stand the idea that there's someone better than them. Kapag kaharap ka, ang bait bait sayo and would make you think that they are on your side. Pero pag tumalikod ka, low and behold ... puro saksak ka sa likod. I'm not saying that there's no good in the world, but you just have to be careful who you deal with. Like what I told my coworker this morning ... its' fine to voice out opinions, but be careful who you voice it out to. Although you did that on purpose to spread the word, you'll never know how the message will be delivered to others. There's always that chance that your words will get twisted.

Kaya ikaw, magingat ka. It's fine to talk, to interact, to do whatever you want ... pero siguraduhin mo na hindi mo lahat ilalantad or ibibigay kasi you always have to have something up your sleeve. Ika nga, wag mo ilabas lahat ng alas mo. You can let people in, but don't let your guard 100% down. (pucha, cynical na ko. kasalanan nyo toh jade and gie! j/k!) You'll never know if people are being true to you so don't trust and put yourself out too much, okay?
