Pondering

My friend and I were laughing and joking around ... then 10 minutes after, I was in the bathroom crying and she was being escorted out the door. She was just let go from the company. Although she got to my nerves everyday ... we scream at each other ... we give smart@ss answers to each other ........ at the end of the day, we are still friends. When I found out about the whole thing, it didn't sink in til after I did the task I was asked my management to do. I felt so bad, I wanted a hug from hm but of course, I had to be at my desk til that task was done.

Grabe, some things can end just like that. Tulad nga ng kasabihan, the only things permanent in this world are change and the end (it's supposed to be "death" but let's make it less morbid). Although we're enjoying stuff now, it will eventually stop ... either it changes or it ends. Here's a question ... knowing that things will eventually vanish ... would you still want to invest in something that will be gone? or would you distance yourself to save you from the pain of losing something?

If you choose to invest in something, you will exert time, effort, energy, thought, etc ... which may either make you happy or cause you grief ... but will definitely give you something to remember when it changes or ends. If the memories are happy, it will be something you will long for. If the memories are painful, it will be something you will want to forget.

If you choose to distance yourself, you won't be exerting anything ... nothing will cause you pain but that is only because you have no good feelings to compare it to. (gets? pano mo malalaman na pain un if you never experiences happiness?)

I guess, this is like what Tennyson was saying ... "'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all." but his is more geared towards love. My question was more general. Just things in general. Life in general.

Grabe, off topic na. Okay, bye for now. Gonna go back to playing my game.

deep thoughts....
yes.........interesting.....but if one distances themselves how are they ever going to know....its the big..."What If"...? To many questions for me...or worse is the regret...Yes sometimes things just don't work out and worse they could really suck but there is only one way to find out...now you can just turn around and not jump off the diving board and yes there can be millions of people watching or none. This is for 'You' to find out. No one opinion at this point matters. So yes you can just turn around and climb down the long stairs or say "Fuck it" and jump right into the pool! Life is to enjoy....so i was told..... :P

Life in general would be pretty boring if you never took any risks.
i love this paragraph...
"if you choose to invest in something, you will exert time, effort, energy, thought, etc ... which may either make you happy or cause you grief ... but will definitely give you something to remember when it changes or ends. If the memories are happy, it will be something you will long for. If the memories are painful, it will be something you will want to forget."
...because i see absolutely nothing wrong in it.

to live life without making memories good or bad, to never have anything to talk about be it good or bad.. would be a boring one, no? i dunno..
